A shocking incident involving a notorious motorcycle gang has left Perth's residents stunned and authorities scrambling for answers. Eighteen members of the Bandidos gang, a known outlaw group, were charged after a high-speed chase on the Kwinana Freeway.
The drama unfolded on Friday night, just an hour ago, as police received a report of a large biker gathering at a petrol station. But here's where it gets controversial: these weren't just any bikers. They were the Bandidos, a gang with a reputation for lawlessness.
Police quickly responded, deploying a significant number of officers and even the Air Wing. The bikers were spotted riding in a dangerous convoy, allegedly speeding and ignoring traffic rules. Despite police efforts to stop them, the group allegedly continued their reckless ride, with two members even blocking police vehicles.
The pursuit ended with officers halting traffic on the freeway, bringing the gang to a standstill. This led to a major traffic jam, but more importantly, it resulted in the arrest of 18 individuals, aged 26 to 56.
Charges include reckless driving to evade police and failure to obey orders to stop. Interestingly, two of the bikers face additional charges for obstructing public officers.
